You'll own accounts payable and receivable, keep our records clean and reconciled, and support month-end close and tax preparation with our outside CPA. This role suits a detail-driven person who likes clear processes and accurate numbers. What you'll do Record daily financial transactions in [QuickBooks / Xero / accounting software].
Manage accounts payable:
enter vendor bills, review them for accuracy, and schedule approved payments through company accounts.
Manage accounts receivable:
prepare and send customer invoices, track payments, and follow up on overdue balances. Reconcile company bank and credit card accounts monthly. Prepare month-end reports, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow summaries. Track expenses, review receipts, and process reimbursements according to company policy. Support payroll processing and keep payroll records accurate. Coordinate with our external CPA on tax filings, 1099s, and year-end close. Keep financial files organized, secure, and ready for review or audit. What we're looking for Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience. [2+] years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping. Hands-on experience with [QuickBooks / Xero] and Excel or Google Sheets. Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP) and reconciliations. Strong attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy. Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion. Clear communication with both team members and vendors. Nice to have Payroll experience ([Gusto / ADP / other]). Small business or multi-entity bookkeeping experience. Progress toward a CPA or similar certification.
Pay:
$54,841.85 - $66,046.10 per year
