We're looking for a motivated Staff Accountant to play a critical role in maintaining the financial health and operational efficiency of our organization and affiliated entities. This position offers the opportunity to gain broad exposure to accounting, project finance, real estate development, and business operations while working closely with senior leadership. Reports To:
Senior Accountant What You'll Do Accounting & Financial Operations You will help manage the day-to-day accounting functions for multiple affiliated entities, ensuring financial information is accurate, timely, and complete.
Key responsibilities include:
Manage the full accounts payable and accounts receivable cycle, including: Vendor invoice review General ledger coding Approval routing Client invoicing Collections follow-up Record daily financial transactions and prepare journal entries, including: General ledger adjustments Depreciation entries Year-end settlement entries Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Support preparation of financial statements and reporting packages Prepare 1099s and other compliance-related reporting Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits Maintain project budgets, track change orders, and perform variance analysis Assist with investor reporting and capital call documentation Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, increase efficiency, and implement automation solutions, including the use of AI-powered tools Maintain organized electronic and physical records for corporate and project documentation Corporate & Administrative Support Manage office supplies and leased equipment Maintain important corporate records, contracts, and administrative documentation Support organizational operations as needed What We're Looking For Personal Attributes We're seeking someone who is: Highly organized and detail-oriented Self-motivated and able to work independently Eager to learn and grow professionally Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines Adaptable and energized by a fast-paced, evolving environment A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills Committed to producing accurate, high-quality work Interested in leveraging technology and AI tools to improve efficiency An effective communicator who can build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders Professional Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Proficiency in: QuickBooks Online Microsoft Excel Microsoft Word Outlook Adobe Acrobat Experience with consolidated financial reporting is a plus Why Join Us?
