Job Description
- Prepare long range plan, quarterly and annual tax schedules in support of federal, state and tax credits (R D).
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal control policies; document controls and assist with internal audits.
- Coordinate with external auditors, HR, and other internal stakeholders to provide required documentation.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy of workflows.
- Assist with month end and quarter end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and accruals
- Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts (cash, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, etc.) and ensure discrepancies are investigated and resolved.
- Prepare and analyze management reports (e.g., profit and loss summaries, budget vs. actual) and provide insights to finance leadership.
- Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice
- Reports in office once per week in Highlands Ranch, CO
- ## Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or tax or anything else.
- 1+ years of experience in general accounting.
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
- High level of accuracy, attention to details and ability to work with a team
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with peers, customers, and managers. ## Desired Skills
- Familiarity with Lockheed Martin policies and procedures (or willingness to learn quickly).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas).
- Prior experience with SAP (or other ERP systems)
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and quantitative skills; high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated teamwork and the ability to take direction while also working independently.
- Knowledge of internal controls, risk management practices, and basic SOX compliance.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- 2+ years of related experiences
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range:
