Job Description

Position Summary The Senior Accountant manages day-to-day accounting operations, supports the month-end close, and ensures accurate financial reporting for both the Ice Ranch and Hot Stove entities. This role partners with the Controller to maintain strong financial controls, improve processes, and support client success. This is a part-time role with a commitment between 20 and 30 hours per week on-site in Littleton, CO. Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer billing, and collections.
  • Process vendor invoices, expense reports, and payments through Bill.com and other payment platforms.
  • Prepare and record customer invoices per customer contracts.
  • Assist in collections of unpaid AR invoices.
  • Record bank transactions, credit card activity, merchant deposits, payroll, loans, inventory, and general ledger activity.
  • Prepare journal entries, including accruals, prepaid expenses, depreciation, payroll and other month-end adjustments.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, including payroll, sales tax, prepaid expenses, cash, and credit card accounts.
  • Maintain deferred revenue schedules in accordance with ASC 606.
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, including financial statement preparation.
  • Manage and track fixed assets, ensuring accurate reporting of personal property tax returns.
  • Prepare sales and use tax filings, 1099s, and other recurring compliance reports in conjunction with Controller.
  • Collaborate with operations team members to ensure accurate inventory and cash-on-hand tracking.
  • Record and reconcile revenue from POS systems and payment processors, including Stripe, QuickBooks Payments, and merchant services.
  • Support annual audits, if applicable.
  • Identify process improvements and opportunities for further automation; recommend enhancements to accounting systems and internal controls.
  • Assist in maintaining SOPs for accounting processes.
  • Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and month-end close.
  • Experience with inventory accounting and COGS tracking.
  • Experience preparing financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Working knowledge of sales tax, 1099 reporting, and ASC 606.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Expensify, and restaurant POS systems Preferred Experience
  • Experience with restaurant, retail, multilocation, or high-volume transaction environments is a plus, including familiarity with merchant processors, inventory accounting, and payment platform reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with restaurant back-of-house systems, recipe costing, and variance tracking. Skills

Pay:
Up to $28.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 25.0 per week
