Overview:
The Staff Accountant is to monitor, control, and audit all financial transactions and to perform a full range of professional accounting duties involved in fiscal management, record keeping, reporting, and financial analysis of the facility. Also, supervising admin and accounting volunteer staff. This role pays an hourly rate of $22.00 - $28.00 Benefits for Full-Time roles: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, 401(k) matching, and Paid Time Off (vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays). This position will remain open until December 4, 2026.
Responsibilities:
Process and prepare accounts payable invoices. Verify & post entries to general ledger accounts; run trial balances Detail processing for accounts receivable and collection calls for outstanding payments. Process box office ticket reports and record transactions. Assist with month-end closing procedures. Reconcile balance sheet accounts. Handle payroll processing and onsite Human Resource functions. Prepare audit work papers and perform analysis of accounts. Count and verify cash from bars & concessions and record transactions into the accounting system. Prepare cash bags for next event. Assist with employee record maintenance. Perform related professional accounting work in support of accounting functions. Operate a ten-key calculator by touch at a speed necessary for successful job performance. Operate a computer to perform accounting functions. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in accounting, finance, business administration, or a closely related field. 1 year of professional accounting experience is required, preferably including some supervisory experience. Previous experience in the building management industry is preferred but not required. Must be accurate and efficient with the ability to meet deadlines. Experience in cash handling. Highly organized and detail-oriented. Capable of working with all levels of management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
