Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end accounting activities, including reviewing general ledger activity, preparing journal entries, and helping ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and review individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns for clients across real estate and construction sectors.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients by addressing questions clearly and maintaining strong working relationships.
- Use QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop to maintain records, analyze financial information, and support client engagements.
- Contribute as an independent accounting contributor while offering guidance and practical insight to colleagues when needed.
- Support tax and accounting projects from initial review through completion while maintaining accuracy and meeting established deadlines.
- Work with firm-specific and industry software tools, including other internal applications, to complete assigned deliverables.
- Identify reporting issues, reconcile account activity, and help improve the consistency and quality of client financial data. Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a public accounting or client service environment.
- Demonstrated background preparing partnership and individual tax returns, with exposure to corporate returns as well.
- Strong knowledge of month-end close processes, general ledger management, and journal entry preparation.
- Hands-on experience using QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop in a business setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with clients.
- Proven ability to work independently while also acting as a reliable resource for others on the team.
- Experience supporting clients in real estate, construction, or similarly structured industries is preferred.
