This is a fully in person role, not hybrid, not remote.WORK SCHEDULE
: Monday - Friday; 8:30 am - 5:00 pm SUMMARY Responsible for all time & attendance, payroll, payroll tax and benefit accounting functions. Initial Company liaison with insurance carriers, vendors, and taxing authorities. Document and update all written procedures, as needed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the time and attendance, payroll and payroll tax functions, as follows: Process daily, weekly and monthly payroll and time & attendance transactions. Coordinate with employees, various department supervisors and division directors to resolve issues. Review, edit and reconcile all payroll discrepancies. Create, edit and prepare various management and accounting department reports. Assist in coordination of workers compensation payroll audits with the carriers. Preparation and input of all year-end payroll adjustments including Holiday awards, bonuses, excess group life, personal auto use, and other fringe benefits as determined. Perform annual W-2 reconciliation and processing for all payrolls. Prepare and update procedure manual documenting all pay rules by company as needed. Responsible for the Medical/Dental/Life coverage processing function, as follows: Process daily, weekly and monthly transactions. Liaison with carriers, human resources, accounting, and employees as required. Review and process monthly listing of covered employees and required changes. Review and process monthly claims reconciliations. Review and process monthly intercompany chargebacks. Prepare all required internal benefit summary reports. Responsible for the 401K Plan functions, as follows: Process daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly transactions. Liaison with recordkeeper, investment fiduciaries, human resources, accounting, employees and external auditors. Process the quarterly valuation process including funds distribution. Prepare monthly match calculations by company and department. Responsible for the Medical and Dependent Care Accounts, as follows: Process weekly and monthly transactions. Prepare and submit monthly chargebacks by company and department. Prepare monthly bank reconciliation. Prepare annual deduction/payment reconciliation including required adjustments. Liaison with vendor, human resources, accounting and employees as required. Responsible for other Benefit functions, as follows: Prepare for review the self-administration of the Group Life Insurance coverage. Prepare for review and input the year-end excess group life calculations. Administer the self-funded short-term disability coverage Other special projects and duties as assigned. Comply with company rules and regulations. Maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data. Implement a commitment to quality philosophy and recommend methods and procedures to reduce cost and/or improve operating efficiency of the department. Demonstrate first-class customer service for all internal and external customers. Keep Payroll / Benefits Manager informed of activities and situations that will impact the achievement of corporate or department goals and objectives. Two-year college degree with a major in accounting/business and 1 year related experience or equivalentCOMPETENCIES
Proficient in payroll, payroll taxes, benefit accounting Back-up for other administrator(s) in times of vacation or illnesses. Proficiency with ADPWFN preferred. Excellent analytical skills Excellent time-management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Excel and WordBenefits
