Job Description

Job DescriptionJob Description Staff Accountant We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably within a legal firm environment, with proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and experience with LEAP is a plus. Attention to detail is paramount for this multitasking role, which involves assisting with Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bank and credit card reconciliations, and more.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage Accounts Payable process including reviewing invoices, coding, approvals, and payments. Perform Accounts Receivable duties such as cash applications and reconciliation. Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations in a timely manner. Maintain the General Ledger and ensure accurate classification of transactions. Prepare checks for firm operating and trust accounts. Prepare financial statements and required business documents. Handle other ad-hoc duties as required.
Requirements:
Minimum 1 years of experience with accounting software, preferably including QBO and experience with LEAP is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly strong Excel skills. Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Experience in a legal firm environment is preferred. Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision. Team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and vendors. Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain meticulous records.
