Job Description
```Overview``` We are seeking an experienced septic pump truck driver.
DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU HAVE SEPTIC AND/OR SEPTIC PUMPING EXPERIENCE!
We service primarily residential septic systems. You will be responsible for your truck and your route. We are a small family business and will expect you to be able to do more than just drive a truck. You will be tasked with driving safely to residences, locating septic tanks, pump/ service septic tanks, diagnose septic problems/ emergencies and speak with customers. Candidate must have knowledge of septic systems, septic pumping experience and truck driving experience. CDL Class B with tanker endorsement is required. You will have a laborer on the truck every day but on occasion you may have to work alone. Must be able to spend time talking with our customers going over any questions or concerns they have. In addition to driving the truck, you must be willing to pull hose, dig septic tank lids, inspect septic system components, operate the vacuum and tank truck safely, troubleshoot septic systems, clear clogged main waste lines (from outside), and go over any customer concerns. Must speak clear fluent english. ```Responsibilities```- Show up every day on time
- Safely operate vacuum pump truck
- Locate residential addresses and drive tank truck to houses
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations
- Locate septic tanks with or without septic as-built
- Dig septic tank lids, drag hose, service septic tanks and backfill septic tank lids neatly
- Basic mechanical knowledge of vacuum tank truck operation, maintenance and repair
- Clean septic vacuum truck and its components weekly
- Communicate with office management for daily pump assignment changes
- Willingness to work late if needed and take on emergency pumps as they come in
- Complete necessary paperwork and operate an iPad tablet ```Skills``` To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Commercial truck driving experience. Class B with tanker endorsement
- Septic pumping experience
- Septic system knowledge
- Customer service oriented
- Proficiency in operating automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Ability to drive heavy equipment
- Knowledge of vacuum tank trucks
- Strong attention to detail and safety
