Responsibilities of the Accountant Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger. Analyze financial information related to assets, liabilities, and capital. Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements. Assist with month-end close and account reconciliations. Review contracts, purchase orders, and supporting documentation for accuracy. Help with financial reporting, analysis, and other accounting projects as needed.
