$32/hr Accounting Associate is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, journal entries, accounts receivable support, and month-end close activities. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
Main Responsibilities/Job Description:
Execute general accounting functions, including the preparation and posting of journal entries, and general ledger account reconciliations. Ensure the timely and accurate completion of the financial month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes. Conduct all aspects of fixed asset accounting, including the creation, maintenance, and monitoring of related CAPEX reporting. Support Accounts Receivable with customer setup, invoice generation, and AR aging maintenance. Support and maintain accounting for prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, and other assigned accounts. Research and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner. Actively participate in and support the annual financial audit and internal control audits. Assist with other ad-hoc finance projects as needed. Qualifications Associate's degree in accounting and three years of general accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience in Oracle JD Edwards ERP system, Reports Now, and SkyStem is preferred. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and general ledger activity. Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, fixed asset accounting, and A/R. Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and process improvement. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. #MFT1
