$32/hr Accounting Associate is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, journal entries, accounts receivable support, and month-end close activities. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.Main Responsibilities/Job Description:
- Execute general accounting functions, including the preparation and posting of journal entries, and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of the financial month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes.
- Conduct all aspects of fixed asset accounting, including the creation, maintenance, and monitoring of related CAPEX reporting.
- Support Accounts Receivable with customer setup, invoice generation, and AR aging maintenance.
- Support and maintain accounting for prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, and other assigned accounts.
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Actively participate in and support the annual financial audit and internal control audits.
- Assist with other ad-hoc finance projects as needed. Qualifications
- Associate's degree in accounting and three years of general accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Oracle JD Edwards ERP system, Reports Now, and SkyStem is preferred.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and general ledger activity.
- Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, fixed asset accounting, and A/R.
- Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and process improvement.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
