Trumbull, CT Job Details Full-time $60,000 - $80,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Bachelor's degree Bachelor's degree in accounting Full Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Bridgeport, CT. This position will primarily focus on Accounts Receivable functions while also supporting Accounts Payable operations through cross-training. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, excellent Excel skills, and experience working in a fast-paced distribution, wholesale, or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day Accounts Receivable activities, including invoicing, payment posting, reconciliations, and collections Assist with Accounts Payable processing and vendor support as needed Prepare account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records Support month-end closing activities and financial reporting Utilize Excel for data analysis, reporting, V-LOOKUPS, and Pivot Tables Assist with the company's transition from Sage to NetSuite Collaborate with the Controller and accounting team on special projects and process improvements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting required 3+ years of accounting experience Strong Accounts Receivable experience required Experience in distribution, wholesale, or manufacturing environments preferred NetSuite experience highly preferred; Sage experience is a plus Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including V-LOOKUPS and Pivot Tables Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills

Onsite role located in Bridgeport, CT Monday-Friday, approximately 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Reports directly to the Controller
