$52K-$57K We are currently working with a well-established organization in the Waterbury area that is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team on a temporary basis. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional looking to utilize their skills in a stable, professional environment while gaining exposure to a variety of accounting functions. About the Role The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations and assist with maintaining accurate financial records. This position will work closely with the accounting team on general ledger activities, reconciliations, reporting, and other accounting-related responsibilities. Responsibilities Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Prepare and post journal entries Assist with monthly and year-end close processes Perform account and bank reconciliations Assist with financial reporting and analysis Review and maintain accurate accounting records Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other accounting functions as needed Support audits and provide documentation as requested Research and resolve accounting discrepancies Assist with other accounting projects and responsibilities as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred 1+ years of accounting experience Strong understanding of general accounting principles Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger accounting Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Strong communication and problem-solving skills Why Consider This Opportunity?
