Job Description

We are seeking an Accountant to support key accounting functions for a manufacturing company in West Hartford, Connecticut. This long-term contract role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, and helping ensure daily financial transactions are processed smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, solid accounting expertise, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage invoice processing and vendor payment activities to support accounts payable operations with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Record financial transactions and prepare journal entries to keep the general ledger current and organized.
  • Monitor incoming payments and assist with accounts receivable tracking to promote accurate cash application.
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve outstanding items promptly.
  • Review accounting data for completeness and accuracy while helping maintain reliable financial documentation.
  • Support routine month-end accounting tasks and contribute to the preparation of internal financial records.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address transaction issues, clarify account activity, and improve workflow efficiency.
