Staff Accountant

Job DescriptionJob Description Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries; maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Perform monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations, including cash, AR, AP, prepaid, and accrual accounts Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes, including schedules and supporting documentation Analyze account variances and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy and compliance Maintain proper documentation for transactions and reconciliations in accordance with GAAP Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve accounting and financial inquiries Assist with ad hoc projects, process improvements, and other accounting duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Associate's degree with relevant experience considered) 1-4+ years of general accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting Experience with month‑end close and account reconciliation Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP preferred) Experience with ERP or accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP, Great Plains) High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
