Job Description
- Prepare journal entries, general ledger reconciliations and account analysis
- Assist with daily accounting functions
- Reconcile and monitor collection accounts
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards ( GAAP )
- Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts
- Monitor the record keeping system
- Stay abreast of accounting standards, financial systems, and regulatory requirements
- Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation needed Requirements The ideal Staff Accountant will preferably have an Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. Other requirements for the Staff Accountant role include and are not limited to:
- 3+ years of overall accounting experience
- Real Estate/Property Mgmt industry experience preferred
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills, advanced Excel
- Yardi a huge plus
