Staff Accountant Position Summary Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close activities. This role will be responsible for general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, financial reporting, and assisting with the overall accounting function. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash reconciliations Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and variance analysis Review and analyze expenses, accruals, and balance sheet activity Support internal and external audit requests Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards Assist with process improvements and special projects as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required 3+ years of accounting experience Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
