Staff Accountant-Clearwater

Job DescriptionJob Description We are seeking a detail-oriented hybrid, direct hire Staff Accountant with a strong Accounts Receivable focus to join a growing accounting team for our client in Clearwater. This role blends core accounting responsibilities with hands-on AR functions and is ideal for someone looking to further develop their accounting career in a collaborative, professional environment. Key Responsibilities Manage Accounts Receivable activities, including invoicing, cash applications, collections, and resolving billing discrepancies Prepare and maintain AR aging reports and support collection efforts with internal teams Reconcile customer accounts and ensure accurate posting to the general ledger Assist with month-end close, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations Support bank reconciliations and cash reporting Collaborate with internal departments to resolve customer billing and payment issues Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures Assist with additional accounting and reporting tasks as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required 1-2+ years of accounting experience with an emphasis on Accounts Receivable (accounting internships also considered) Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations Proficiency with accounting systems and strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP preferred) Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Salary Range $60-70K If you meet all of the qualifications above for the Staff Accountant opportunity, apply today!
