Job Description:
Our client, a growing construction company, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team in an in-office role . This position is ideal for an accounting professional with a strong background in construction accounting and hands-on experience managing the financial complexities of project-based work. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and month-end close Prepare and analyze job costing reports to support project profitability and financial accuracy Maintain and report on work-in-progress (WIP) schedules Apply and monitor percentage of completion accounting Assist with financial statement preparation and internal reporting Partner with project managers and operational leaders to ensure accurate project financial tracking Support audit preparation and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies Help improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency Qualifications Strong experience with: Job costing WIP reporting Percentage of completion accounting Experience using construction accounting software , such as Foundation or similar platforms Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred CPA is preferred but not required Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
