Our growing, state-of-the-art facility in Deland has an exciting opportunity for a Cost Accountant to join our growing Finance & Accounting team. The Cost Accountant must be a self-starter with intellectual curiosity and willing to roll up their sleeves and dig into the details. Reporting to the VP of Accounting, the Cost Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the site's standard cost system, margin analysis, month-end inventory reconciliation and variance analysis. The Cost Accountant will support the business with data driven analysis to aid decision making and potential process improvements. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare month-end journal entries and reconciliations for cost and inventory Variance analysis - COGS, spending to budget, period expense allocation, etc. Evaluate and make recommendations on improvements to processes and methodologies, identifying potential cost-reduction opportunities Partner with our Operations Team including standard cost updates, inventory reconciliation, variance analytics, and financial reporting on special projects Perform balance sheet account reconciliations Assist with the preparation of monthly forecasts and annual budget Collaborate with business partners to drive change management and increase operational efficiencies Work closely with our functional areas and business management to resolve issues and support achievement of business goals

Required Skills:

Translating data and analytics to develop keen insights and make recommendations Ability to manipulate large volumes of data to provide summarized analysis Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem Multi-task and drive actions to completion under strict deadlines Positive "can do" attitude and highly analytical; enjoys challenges Detail oriented and comfortable with large data sets Strong analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and innovative solution capabilities Handles self with finesse and diplomacy with an understanding of changing priorities, sense of urgency, execution of results and support of the team Demonstrates excellent communication ability using strong listening skills and logical, systematic approach to assimilating and sharing information in all areas What will make you stand out? Minimum of 3-5 years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment Previous electronics experience a plus Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Business Thorough knowledge of accounting, budgeting and costing principles Proficient in MS Office with a strong emphasis in advanced Excel applications What we offer?
