In this pivotal role, you will oversee a team of accounting professionals, manage complex financial processes, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards. Your expertise in international accounting standards, regulatory compliance, and financial analysis will drive strategic decision-making and support our organization's growth. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about maintaining the highest standards of financial management within a fast-paced environment. Duties Lead and manage the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting across all departments. Oversee the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards). Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls, regulatory reporting requirements, and internal policies. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, and general ledger accounting. Conduct cost accounting analysis to optimize resource allocation and improve financial efficiency. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring proper cash management and timely payments. Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance. Utilize advanced spreadsheets and financial software for data analysis, forecasting, and reporting purposes. Coordinate with external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance team to enhance operational efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred. Extensive experience managing accounting teams within public accounting or corporate finance environments. Strong knowledge of
GAAP, IFRS, SOX
compliance, governmental accounting, non-profit accounting, and regulatory frameworks. Proven expertise in financial report writing, balance sheet reconciliation, account reconciliation, and account analysis. Proficiency with financial software systems such as SAP, Oracle Financials or similar platforms; advanced Excel data analysis skills required. Deep understanding of technical accounting concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, treasury management, payroll processing, and budgeting. Experience with international accounting standards and cross-border financial operations is highly desirable. Excellent analytical skills combined with strong communication abilities to convey complex financial information clearly. Demonstrated leadership in managing finance teams effectively while fostering a collaborative environment.
