Job Description:
Senior Accountant Our client, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This role owns key pieces of the monthly close, supports forecasting and budgeting, and partners with the business on customer billing. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and brings an analytical approach to solving problems. Responsibilities Ensure business transactions are recorded and reported in accordance with GAAP Own or support key components of the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for accuracy and completeness Assist with forecasting and annual budgeting processes, partnering with department leaders on assumptions and inputs Manage or support customer billing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely invoicing Research and analyze expense variances, providing clear explanations to company management Assist with the annual audit process, including preparation of supporting schedules and drafting of financial statements and related notes Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, AP/AR, and operations teams Qualifications 3+ years of professional accounting experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (or equivalent experience) CPA preferred Strong working knowledge of GAAP Experience with month-end close, forecasting/budgeting, and billing cycles Advanced Excel skills; ERP system experience a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
