Ascendo is partnering with a client in South Florida that is looking for a strong Senior Accountant to join their team on a temporary consulting basis. This consultant will be brought in to provide coverage during a maternity leave, making this a great opportunity for someone who can quickly step into an accounting team, pick up existing processes, and hit the ground running. What you'll handle: Month-end close and journal entries Account and bank reconciliations General Ledger maintenance Financial reporting and account analysis AP/AR support as needed Researching and resolving discrepancies Supporting accounting projects and process improvements What we're looking for: 3+ years of accounting experience Strong GL and month-end close experience Solid understanding of GAAP Strong Excel skills Experience with accounting/ERP systems Detail-oriented and comfortable working independently Ability to quickly adapt to a new environment Position Details South Florida Contract / Consulting Maternity Leave Coverage $35-$45/hour, based on experience Ascendo is a certified minority owned staffing firm, and we welcome and celebrate diversity.
