Job Description
Responsibilities:
Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate and complete financial records. Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure reporting accuracy. Support corporate tax processes, including the preparation of documentation and filings. Manage sales tax activities by reviewing transactions, calculating obligations, and assisting with submissions. Help compile information required for corporate tax return preparation and related compliance tasks. Use SAP to record accounting activity, generate reports, and monitor financial data integrity. Assist with month-end and period-end close procedures to keep accounting timelines on track. Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and improve day-to-day financial operations. Experience working in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role. Knowledge of corporate tax, including exposure to corporate tax return support. Practical experience handling sales tax transactions and compliance activities. Strong understanding of journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger processes. Hands-on experience using SAP in an accounting or finance environment. Ability to analyze financial information accurately and resolve discrepancies efficiently. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a Contract role.
