Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations for a long-term contract opportunity in Immokalee, Florida. This role is ideal for someone who can manage day-to-day financial activities with accuracy while contributing to tax-related reporting and month-end close work. The position offers the chance to work across general ledger processes, journal entry preparation, and corporate tax responsibilities in a dynamic business environment.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and record journal entries to maintain accurate and timely financial records. Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure reporting integrity. Support month-end and year-end close activities by organizing financial data and completing assigned accounting tasks. Assist with corporate tax filings and related documentation in accordance with applicable requirements. Manage sales tax reporting processes, including the review of transactional data for completeness and accuracy. Help compile information needed for corporate tax return preparation and submission. Review accounting transactions to confirm proper coding and alignment with internal financial procedures. Partner with internal stakeholders to gather supporting schedules, resolve issues, and improve accounting workflow efficiency. Experience working in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role. Practical knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation. Background in corporate tax, including exposure to corporate tax return support. Familiarity with sales tax reporting and related compliance activities. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy across financial records. Ability to organize multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting. Proficiency in standard accounting systems and spreadsheet-based analysis.
