POSITION OVERVIEW

This position offers the right candidate an excellent starting point within the organization and will provide opportunities for career development and growth. The purpose of the position is to (i) execute the day-to-day accounting of the operation, including production of month end financial statements, (ii) perform special accounting, financial reporting, and analytical projects as requested. This position requires collaboration with other professionals within the Accounting Department, coordination with other internal teams, including Operations and Member Relations, and direct interaction with members. This person will be an integral part of the team. An ideal candidate will be someone with a keen eye for details and a 'can do' work ethic. This position reports to the Financial Controller. Exempt. On site

DAY TO DAY EXPECTATIONS
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
  • Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely
  • Perform account reconciliations, including bank statements, credit cards, and general ledger accounts
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting issues.
  • Generate and analyze financial reports as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Receipts management.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 2 years minimum experience in accounting or similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • A solid understanding of accrual and prepaid accounting concepts.
  • Effective writing and verbal communication skills; required to communicate authoritatively with all levels.
  • Strong drive to accomplish goals and able to work independently.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Ability to multitask and meet changing timelines.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.
