Cost Analyst At Florida's Natural, goodness runs through our veins. We're a citrus co-op with roots deep in the Florida soil. We care for our trees, our fruit, our land, and each other. This role will report directly to the Plant Controller and is responsible for analyzing expense and cost transactions, identifying cost savings opportunities and ensuring transactions are recorded accurately. This position is located within Supply Chain Finance team and collaborates with Production and Operations. What you'll do: Partner with Operations and Finance to understand and analyze product costs including separation and understanding of fixed and variable portions of labor and overhead costs. Work with Sales Finance to determine current cost of items and be able to provide recommendations on savings and opportunities to help win additional business Develop and track operational KPI's with a focus on variance analysis and ability to increase understanding throughout the business. Troubleshoot and correct accuracy issues and assist in root cause analysis to improve future state process Provide needed support for inventory reconciliations and validations including physical count audits Conduct in-depth variance analysis to identify risks Improve cost reporting by analyzing results, continually monitoring variances, identifying trends and interpreting data in order to present corrective action recommendations to Management Prepare analysis and recommendations on process improvements both in operational and inventory management areas focusing on reducing inefficiencies and lowering costs Support standard cost update and validation to accurately allocate material, labor and overhead costs to their associated products Document processes and develop SOP's for costing and inventory training and personnel onboarding Prepare journal entries, reconciliations and assist with various responsibilities relating to cost and inventory end of month close Ad Hoc analysis creation and review with recommendations and context to explain current state situation and optimized future state Regular attendance required. Perform other duties as assigned. What we're looking for: Bachelor's in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field Minimum of 2 years of analytical experience; accounting or finance experience preferred Demonstrated proficiency in Excel including VLOOKUP's and pivot tables Strong analytical abilities with ability to learn new tools and implement improved processes Ability to work with and support matrixed team What we provide Medical, Dental and Vision benefits 401k PTO And more!
