Prepare journal entries and complete balance sheet reconciliations as part of general ledger responsibilities. Manage accounts payable accurately and on time, including entering invoices, securing approvals, and submitting payment batches for review and approval. Daily and monthly transaction matching in Blackline Systems to support general ledger reconciliations. Follow internal controls and maintain appropriate supporting documentation. Review employee reimbursement submissions in SAP Concur Prepare financial and other reports related to GAAP and STAT filings. Prepare assigned audit workpapers and support audit requests. Assist and provide backup support for finance and accounting functions as needed. Maintain job knowledge through educational and professional development opportunities. Complete special projects and other assigned duties.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a four-year institution.
Experience:
One (1) to Five (5) years of staff accounting experience, preferred. Prior experience with an insurance carrier is strongly desired.
Skills & Knowledge:
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word), required. Blackline Systems experience with close management, reconciliations and/or transaction matching modules, preferred.
IAS / FIS
Global - Enterprise Accounting System (EAS), formerly known as SunGard, experience, preferred. Guidewire InsuranceNow experience, preferred. SAP Concur experience, preferred. Effective communication skills. Exceptional organization skills. Meticulous, committed to professionalism.
