full-time We are partnering with an organization in Tampa that is looking to add a Staff Accountant to its accounting team. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional looking to take ownership of core accounting responsibilities while gaining exposure to a variety of areas within the business. The Staff Accountant will play an important role in the month-end close process and will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing account reconciliations, and supporting the overall accounting function. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries and assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Perform monthly account reconciliations and research/resolve discrepancies Assist with preparation and analysis of financial statements and supporting schedules Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and timely Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed Assist with accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts Assist with cash and bank reconciliations Support the preparation of audit and tax schedules Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls Work cross-functionally with other departments to research and resolve accounting issues Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred 3+ years of accounting experience Strong understanding of general accounting principles Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
