This is an in-office position for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing the day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping needs of a construction company. Responsibilities Review daily bank balances and transactions for HOP Integrators (HOPI) and HOP Construction (HOPC) across Chase, First Citizens Bank, and Truist to ensure all banking activity is properly recorded and identify any missing transactions. Record and categorize all QuickBooks transactions, including W-2 and 1099 payroll, for both companies. Prepare and maintain daily cash flow reports by monitoring bank accounts, credit cards, payroll, loan payments, automatic debits, and other financial obligations to ensure adequate available funds. Process payments as needed, including checks, wire transfers, ACH payments, Zelle transactions, telephone payments, and payroll disbursements. Upload issued checks to Truist Positive Pay system. Record vendor invoices, bills, and other financial transactions in QuickBooks. Create and maintain customer, project, employee, and vendor records in QuickBooks. Prepare journal entries, including intercompany transactions, as required. Monitor and reconcile customer payments, issue statements of account, and assist with collections for HOPI and HOPC. Prepare and issue invoices through QuickBooks and process credit card payments through Merchant Services when required. Prepare project labor reports for billing purposes. Analyze vendor accounts and general ledger accounts, including payment history, outstanding balances, and other accounting information. Generate financial, operational, and custom QuickBooks reports as requested. Prepare monthly Profit & Loss reports by business division. Review vendor records and reports to ensure accuracy and readiness for annual 1099 reporting. Prepare reports requested by management, clients, subcontractors, contractors, vendors, or other business partners. Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned by management.
