Staff Accountant

About the

Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you'll provide essential support for key financial processes, including accounts receivables, payables, payroll, and cash applications, while collaborating with teams both locally and internationally to ensure smooth financial operations. Responsibilities Support day-to-day transactional accounting tasks, including accounts receivables, payables, payroll, cash applications, and journal entry postings.

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for all company transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors and agents (US and Foreign Office) to resolve accounting discrepancies and issues.
• Prepare and generate detailed monthly financial reports.
• Assist the Financial Controller with various special projects and tasks.
• Provide financial and operational analysis to support other departments. Qualifications

Education :

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration, Finance.

Experience :

3-5 years of financial accounting experience, ideally in a small to mid-sized private company in the Shipping, Trucking or Logistics industries is required .

• Displayed ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Excellent analytical and creative thinking skills, with a proactive, confident, and results-driven approach to your work
• Strong leadership potential with a drive for career growth and professional development.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Excel, and experience with accounting systems.
• English/Spanish equally fluent.
