Fort Lauderdale, FL Salary Range:
$95,000–$110,000 Base + Discretionary Bonus Build Your Career Toward Accounting Leadership Are you a strong Senior Accountant looking for more than a traditional accounting position? This is an opportunity to join a rapidly expanding healthcare organization where you'll have direct access to senior leadership, take ownership of critical accounting functions, and play a key role in the company's continued growth. This position is ideal for someone who wants to broaden their experience, take on increasing responsibility, and position themselves for a Controller opportunity within the next 1–2 years. What Makes This Role Different Defined career progression with the potential to move into a Controller-level role within 1–2 years Partner closely with the VP of Finance, CFO, and executive leadership Take ownership of the monthly close and contribute to the overall financial reporting process Gain valuable experience with acquisitions, integrations, and organizational growth initiatives Work in a lean, entrepreneurial environment where your ideas and contributions will be highly visible Participate in banking, strategic finance, and process improvement initiatives Help build and enhance accounting processes as the organization continues to scale Develop leadership skills by mentoring and supporting junior accounting professionals Become part of a growing healthcare organization with a strong focus on the Medicare market Have the opportunity to expand your skill set into broader finance and future FP&A initiatives What You'll Be Doing Manage and drive month end close Review the work of and provide guidance to junior accountants Oversee accounts payable activities, processes, and internal controls Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures and increase efficiency Support financial reporting and ASC 606 revenue recognition Assist with accounting initiatives tied to acquisitions, integrations, and company growth Partner with leadership on projects designed to strengthen and scale the finance organization Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field CPA or currently pursuing CPA designation preferred Prior public accounting/audit experience strongly preferred, particularly with a regional accounting firm Working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition A proactive mindset with an interest in taking on greater responsibility and growing into a leadership role #
