This role oversees accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, maintains accurate general ledger records, performs account reconciliations, and assists with month-end and year-end close activities. The position requires strong proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and a solid understanding of accounting principles, including accruals, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and intercompany transactions.
Duties Full-Cycle Accounting Ownership:
Perform and understand end-to-end accounting processes including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, month-end close activities, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and general ledger maintenance.
QuickBooks Desktop Expertise:
Maintain working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop including account setup, reporting, customer/vendor management, and troubleshooting accounting discrepancies.
Accounts Payable Management:
Oversee AP processes including vendor setup, invoice coding, approvals, payment processing, vendor reconciliations, and follow-up on discrepancies.
Accounts Receivable Management:
Manage customer invoicing, collections follow-up, aging review, cash applications, payment disputes, and customer account reconciliations.
Inventory & Manufacturing Accounting:
Support manufacturing and inventory processes including raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), finished goods tracking, inventory reconciliations, lot tracking, and cost analysis. Paradigm ERP/ Inventory Management Knowledge a
Plus:
Utilize and maintain project and inventory data within Paradigm ERP ensuring proper allocation of inventory, job costing accuracy, and transaction integrity. lntercompany
Accounting:
Record and reconcile intercompany transactions, loans, transfers, and balances.
Month-End Close Support:
Assist with monthly and year-end close activities including reconciliations and reporting.
Self-Starter Ownership:
Independently identify issues, communicate concerns proactively, and escalate exceptions requiring management approval.
Skills / Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years experience with full-cycle accounting Strong experience with QuickBooks Desktop required Manufacturing, inventory, and project accounting experience strongly preferred Experience with Paradigm ERP a plus Strong understanding of AP, AR, General Ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
