Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Junior Staff Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will support the company's financial operations by assisting with accounting processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Responsibilities Hub Steel inventory Tekla EPM manufacturing to Spectrum GL entries and reconciliation Monthly spot audits of physical inventory / cycle counting Review inventory changes for reasonableness (ie, plate) - patterns / trends Assist in developing & revising written processes and procedures / document compliance GL Reconciliations and journal entries Credit Card statement reconciliations Support Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Assist with reconciliation of contract values, validation of AIA pay applications and job costing Sales Tax reporting, multiple jurisdictions Tangible personal property tax reporting Import check positive pay files to bank websites Recommendations for process improvement Other tasks and projects as assigned Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; relevant internship or entry-level experience accepted 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Basic understanding of GAAP, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial concepts Must be proficient in MS Excel, including VLookups, SumIF, Pivot Tables, etc. Experience with physical inventory counts and reconciliation Ability to analyze large sets of data, identify discrepancies, and report on cost variances Job costing experience is a plus Understand accounting system configuration Join us at Hub Steel to grow your career in a vibrant environment where your contributions directly impact our success.
