This role offers the opportunity to oversee core accounting activities across a diverse group of entities, including business, investment, and real estate interests. The ideal candidate brings strong general ledger expertise, enjoys working in a dynamic environment, and takes pride in producing accurate financial information. Responsibilities:
- Drive monthly close activities for multiple entities, ensuring deadlines are met and financial records are complete.
- Record accounting transactions through well-supported journal entries and verify their accuracy in the ledger.
- Oversee general ledger maintenance and keep account activity organized, accurate, and current.
- Perform balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations, investigating variances and correcting issues promptly.
- Review bank transactions, reconcile cash accounts, and track balances to support effective cash management.
- Prepare detailed schedules and retain clear documentation to support accounting records and reporting needs.
- Contribute to financial statement preparation and assist with recurring and ad hoc accounting assignments.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies across entities and improve day-to-day accounting reliability. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting or a closely related accounting role.
- Demonstrated success with month-end close, journal entry preparation, and account analysis.
- Hands-on experience completing intercompany, balance sheet, and bank reconciliations.
- Familiarity with financial statement preparation and annual external audit support.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities across several entities.
- Dependable, self-directed individual with solid organizational skills and a long-term growth mindset.
