Full-time | Monday - Friday Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Construction Controller to join our growing heavy civil marine construction company in the Stuart/Jensen Beach area. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all construction accounting operations , including job costing, financial reporting, and project accounting . The ideal candidate will have strong experience in construction accounting , including the percentage of completion method , and a proven ability to manage financial operations in a fast-paced construction environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee all construction accounting functions , including general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting Manage accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and job costing Administer contract management, purchase orders, AIA billing, and lien releases Apply and maintain percentage of completion accounting for accurate project reporting Prepare financial statements, cash flow reports, budgets, and cost analysis in accordance with GAAP Perform account reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, and financial analysis Collaborate with project managers on budget tracking, cost control, and forecasting Ensure accurate project accounting and cost tracking across multiple jobs Utilize QuickBooks, Excel, and construction accounting software for reporting and data management Support audits and ensure compliance with construction accounting standards and regulationsQualifications Required:
5+ years of construction accounting experience Strong knowledge of job costing and percentage of completion method Experience with AIA billing, lien releases, and contract accounting Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and accounting software Solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and cost accounting Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced construction environment Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required) Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Life insurance Additional Requirements Resume and professional references required Must be able to pass a background check Apply Today Submit your resume to: info@pdmarineinc.comPay:
