Cost Accountant:
Prepare and maintain production budgets, ensuring material, labor, and overhead costs are accurately tracked and analyzed Maintain detailed cost records related to raw materials, labor, overhead, and production activities Analyze variances between estimated and actual costs, providing recommendations to improve efficiency and control expenses Monitor fast-moving, short-shelf-life inventory and ensure accurate inventory valuation and reporting Account for natural product shrinkage, spoilage, and waste within inventory costing processes Value raw produce inventory while managing the impact of fluctuating market purchase prices Maintain accurate bills of material, routings, and yield/scrap factors within the DAX ERP system to reflect actual production processes Evaluate the cost impact of new products, packaging changes, process improvements, and capital projects Prepare timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations for inventory, cost-related accruals, and other assigned accounts, resolving reconciling items within established deadlines Prepare and post period-end journal entries, including inventory adjustments, accruals, overhead allocations, absorption entries, and cost of goods sold transactions in accordance with the monthly close calendar Prepare financial reports and cost analyses that support operational and executive decision-making Qualifications for the
