We put an emphasis on professional education, flexibility and self-improvement. Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will lead complex tax projects, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and provide strategic tax planning advice. Your expertise will help clients optimize their tax positions while adhering to the latest laws and accounting standards. This position requires the ability to work with and teach staff at the firm. Responsibilities Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and non-profit organizations. Conduct detailed tax research on issues such as estate planning, tax law, and other specialized areas. Assist clients with tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities while complying with relevant regulations. Prepare and review bookkeeping for clients as well as providing analysis of financial statements and tax filings. Review Payroll and Bookkeeping using Quickbooks desktop and Quickbooks online Mentor Staff and help them on day-to-day tasks Qualifications Proven experience in tax accounting with a strong background in corporate accounting, public accounting, or related fields. Familiarity with estate planning, wills & trusts, and non-profit accounting. Proficiency in Tax accounting software such as Ultratax and other Thomson Rueters products is a plus. Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately. Ability to handle multiple projects efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Relevant certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or Enrolled Agent equivalent are preferred.
