Role Description The Senior Accountant will oversee financial reporting, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and manage general ledger activities. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day activities, preparing and/or reviewing journal entries, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, assisting with audits, monitoring budgets and supporting regulatory reporting. The role also involves analyzing financial data, supporting month-end and year-end closing processes, and collaborating with teams to enhance financial processes. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Alpharetta, GA. Qualifications Strong grasp of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting Experience with ERP systems and accounting software including Excel pivot tables, lookups and financial analytics Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy in financial documentation Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance standards (or the ability to learn quickly and take ownership of regulatory reporting) A collaborative team member with excellent interpersonal and communication skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus Prior professional experience in banking, financial services, or a similar industry is preferred Jack Henry Silverlake experience is a plus
