Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing processes. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections. Maintain proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, PeopleSoft, Workday, ADP, Ceridian, Kronos, UltiPro, and HRIS systems to streamline financial operations. Support payroll management activities using systems like Paychex or UltiPro by verifying payroll data entry and processing. Conduct internal control procedures aligned with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance to safeguard organizational assets. Assist with tax preparation and compliance activities by maintaining accurate records of tax-related transactions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including human resources and finance to ensure seamless benefits administration and accurate data entry. Participate in audit preparations by providing detailed documentation of financial transactions and account reconciliations. Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies or inefficiencies and recommend process improvements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred. Minimum of five years of professional experience in public accounting or corporate accounting environments. Extensive knowledge of GAAP principles and double-entry bookkeeping techniques. Proficiency with multiple accounting software platforms such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, Workday, ADP, Ceridian, Kronos, UltiPro. Strong understanding of payroll management systems including Paychex and ADP. Experience with SOX compliance processes and internal controls. Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation, journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and analysis skills. Familiarity with governmental accounting standards and non-profit accounting practices is a plus. Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong communication skills to collaborate across departments and support team initiatives.
