Accountant
Job Description
Key Responsibilities Full-Charge Bookkeeping:
Maintain, reconcile, and balance all general ledger accounts, bank statements, credit card accounts, and subsidiary ledgers.Financial Reporting:
Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements.QuickBooks Management:
Oversee all daily transactions, journal entries, chart of accounts maintenance, and system configurations within QuickBooks.Accounts Payable & Receivable:
Manage AP/AR workflows, ensuring timely vendor payments, accurate client invoicing, and proactive collections management.Reconciliation & Auditing:
Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies immediately.Compliance & Tax Prep:
Assist with state/federal tax filings, 1099 processing, and gather necessary documentation for external annual audits.Financial Analysis:
Review P&L variance trends to provide leadership with actionable insights on cost savings and revenue opportunities.Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of progressive, hands-on accounting or full-charge bookkeeping experience.Software Proficiency:
Expert-level knowledge of QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop) is required.Technical Skills:
Strong mastery of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), general ledger accounting, P&L preparation, and trial balance reconciliation.Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (equivalent high-level experience considered).Tools:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data analysis).Soft Skills:
Exceptional analytical thinking, high attention to detail, and absolute discretion when handling confidential financial data.Pay:
