Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Process accounts payable transactions and maintain vendor records
- Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate supporting documentation
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant accounting standards
- Stay up-to-date with changes in securities laws and regulations that impact financial reporting
- Interpret financial reports and provide insights to management
Preferred Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years bookkeeping and payroll experience preferred
- Previous experience in public accounting is highly desirable
- Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and practices
- Moderate + computer savvy and MS Office proficiency
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism
