Staff Accountant Permanent North of Atlanta GA 6 Degrees Group One of our clients is looking to hire a Staff Accountant in North Georgia. Our client is a global manufacturer of exterior building products serving the residential construction industry. This role supports core accounting operations, playing a key part in inventory accounting, cost tracking, and financial reporting for a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Staff Accountant will partner closely with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate, timely financial information while supporting the monthly close process. It's a great opportunity for a detail-oriented accountant looking to grow within a large, multi-site organization.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and manufacturing-related transactions Perform account reconciliations for inventory, COGS, and manufacturing overhead accounts, resolving discrepancies as they arise Support inventory accounting by tracking raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including maintaining the general ledger
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or multi-entity environment Strong understanding of GAAP with hands-on general ledger and account reconciliation experience Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
