Job Description

Senior Accountant Position Overview We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role owns general ledger accounting, record-to-report (RTR) processes, and cost accounting, while also playing a key part in an upcoming ERP integration. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, lean environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats — from day-to-day close activities to process improvement and systems work. Key Responsibilities General Ledger Accounting Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data across all accounts Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner Prepare P&L flux analysis, identifying and communicating variances to relevant team members. Record-to-Report (RTR) Partner with Corporate Controller and other stakeholders to ensure reported financials are accurate, timely, and audit-ready Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries Cost Accounting Maintain standard costs, analyze cost variances, and support inventory valuation processes Partner with operations and supply chain teams to monitor and report on manufacturing or product costs Identify trends, cost drivers, and opportunities for margin improvement ERP Integration & Systems Serve as a key finance stakeholder in ERP implementation/integration projects, including data migration, testing, and process design Document and build scalable accounting processes and controls that translate well into the new system Troubleshoot system issues and collaborate with IT/finance systems teams to ensure clean, accurate data flow Process Improvement Identify opportunities to streamline and automate close, reporting, and reconciliation processes Help build and document scalable accounting policies and procedures as the company grows Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed Qualifications 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including public accounting and/or industry experience Prior experience at a start-up, small business, or lean finance team, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple accounting functions simultaneously Solid working knowledge of GAAP, with hands-on general ledger, RTR, and cost accounting experience Direct experience participating in an ERP implementation, integration, or migration (e.g., Global Shop, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred Advanced Excel skills; comfort working with large data sets Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with non-finance stakeholders Benefits Competitive salary Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
