Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting and financial services, with a deep understanding of financial concepts and tax regulations. This role involves managing tax compliance, preparing financial statements, and providing strategic tax planning advice to clients. The Senior Tax Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and adherence to all regulatory requirements. The idea candidate will have 3-5 years experience (minimum) preparing partnership (1065) and corporate returns (1120S). This experienced preparer should be able to both prepare and review returns and collaborate with our tax manager and accounting team to ensure projects are not stalled but being prepared, reviewed and flowing through the system. Duties Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses. Conduct thorough research on various tax issues to ensure compliance with current laws. Assist clients with tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities. Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting. Manage accounts payable processes and ensure timely payments. Provide guidance on financial accounting practices and procedures. Utilize QuickBooks for maintaining accurate financial records. Communicate effectively with clients regarding their tax situations and provide exceptional customer service. Skills Strong knowledge of public accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in financial accounting and reporting. Familiarity with accounts payable processes. Ability to analyze financial data and invest in strategic opportunities. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration. Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills to interpret complex financial concepts effectively. Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
