Job Description

Position Description:
Accountant We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join a professional finance and accounting team. This position is responsible for month-end close activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting, tax filings, regulatory reporting, and supporting audits and other accounting projects. Primary Responsibilities Prepare monthly journal entries, financial statements, account reconciliations, and accounting reports. Manage month-end close activities for multiple business divisions. Review and maintain lease schedules and related accounting records. Record invoices, cash receipts, and other financial transactions. Prepare and file sales tax, property tax, and other required regulatory reports. Reconcile multiple bank accounts on a monthly basis. Maintain fixed asset and property records. Close work orders and reconcile assets on a monthly basis. Assist with annual inventory counts and reconcile physical inventory to accounting records. Provide information and assistance during financial and regulatory audits. Assist with cost studies, audit preparation, and other accounting projects. Apply advanced accounting principles and procedures to complex accounting activities. Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and organizational information. Prepare financial reports using accounting/reporting software. Serve as a backup for other accounting team members as needed. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. 5+ years of accounting experience. Strong understanding of GAAP and advanced accounting practices. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and lookup functions. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook. Experience working with ERP/accounting systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information professionally. Experience with intercompany transactions and reconciliations is preferred. Working Environment Professional, temperature-controlled office environment. Minimal travel required. Fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and changing priorities. Frequent interruptions and the need to manage competing priorities. Some standing, stretching, and light physical activity may be required.
