•Join our dynamic finance team as a Staff Accountant specializing in NetSuite, a leading cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. In this vital role, you will leverage your expertise in accounting principles and financial software to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts within NetSuite, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Prepare detailed financial statements, reports, and analyses that interpret complex data for internal stakeholders. Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and account analysis. Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor management, and cash flow analysis. Ensure adherence to regulatory standards such as SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and securities law requirements. Conduct bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and variance analysis to maintain financial integrity. Support internal audits and assist with external audit preparations by providing detailed documentation of financial transactions. Utilize advanced Excel functions like VLOOKUP for data analysis, spreadsheet management, and reporting accuracy. Mentor junior team members on accounting best practices, software usage—including QuickBooks, PeopleSoft—and compliance standards. Collaborate across departments to improve financial processes, optimize software functionalities, and implement best practices in accounting workflows. Experience Proven experience in accounting roles with a focus on corporate or governmental accounting environments. Extensive knowledge of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, accrual accounting, budgeting, and financial report writing. Hands-on experience with financial software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, PeopleSoft or similar ERP systems; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—especially Excel—is essential. Strong understanding of GAAP standards along with technical accounting skills related to securities law, nonprofit accounting (including LIHTC), and regulatory compliance accounting. Demonstrated ability in financial statement preparation, balance sheet reconciliation, journal entries creation, and cash flow analysis. Familiarity with public accounting practices or experience supporting internal/external audits is highly desirable. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data using Excel data analysis techniques like VLOOKUP functions and pivot tables. Effective communication skills for mentoring team members and collaborating across departments on process improvements.
