Job Description

Robert Half is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to support core financial reporting activities and help maintain accurate, timely accounting operations at our client's site in Delaware. This Senior Accountant position plays a key role in the monthly close cycle, balance sheet integrity, and application of accounting guidance across a range of transactions. The ideal Senior Accountant candidate brings strong analytical ability, sound judgment, and a commitment to producing reliable financial information for business leaders.
Responsibilities:
Support the preparation of periodic financial statements by compiling data, validating balances, and helping ensure reporting accuracy.

Lead recurring month-end close activities and coordinate deliverables so accounting deadlines are consistently achieved.

Complete reconciliations for balance sheet accounts each month, investigate variances, and resolve outstanding items in a timely manner.

Evaluate the accounting treatment of business activity and apply appropriate accounting guidance to transactions across the organization.

Review financial results and perform detailed account analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas requiring follow-up.

Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate support to maintain an accurate general ledger.

Carry out all work with professionalism, integrity, and a strong focus on supporting the company's financial health and reputation.
