full-time A growing organization in the Atlanta area is seeking an experienced Staff/Senior Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This position will play an important role in the day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, general ledger activity, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and analysis.

Direct-Hire Pay:

$80k - $90k + Discretionary Bonus Great Benefits Doraville, GA The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of progressive accounting experience , a strong understanding of GAAP, and the ability to work independently while partnering closely with accounting leadership and cross-functional teams. Responsibilities Manage and analyze general ledger activity and ensure accurate financial reporting. Perform month-end close activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations. Reconcile balance sheet accounts, research discrepancies, and resolve issues in a timely manner. Analyze financial trends, P&L statements, balance sheets, and variances. Prepare internal financial statements, reports, and ad hoc analysis for leadership. Review financial entries for accuracy and investigate and correct discrepancies. Assist with maintaining strong internal controls and ensuring the integrity of accounting information. Support accounting compliance and reporting requirements. Partner with accounting leadership to improve financial processes, procedures, and reporting. Provide backup support across accounting functions, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and assist with special projects as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience required. Business Central software highly preferred. Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred Strong general ledger and month-end close experience. Solid understanding of GAAP and financial accounting principles. Experience with financial statement preparation, reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. ERP system experience preferred. Manufacturing or similar industry experience is a plus.
